Amos A. AKERS and William H. AKERS, brothers who served in Civil from Ohio, both were with relatives in Ohio. Amos died at Andersonville Prison. Suspect they lived with John and Eleanor PHILLIPS of Darke County when Civil War began. They may have enlisted at Piqua.

DANIEL, ENHART, GEIGER, GLASSNER, HAFARD, HOMAN, KALT, KRUPP, RINEHART, ROTH, RUFFING, SCHOEN, SEDALIS, SMITH, TEIER, WALLISER, WITTER posted by Cara Roberts on Monday, February 26, 2001

I am looking for information on my great-great grandmother, Elizabeth GEIGER. On her son's death certificate, it lists that she was originally from Greenville, Ohio. She was born in 1840, but at this point I am unsure of the dates. She married Joseph SCHOEN and they lived in Reed Township, Seneca county, Ohio, where their decendents still live today. She died June 19, 1925. There is a large list of people in attendance at her funeral, which were either family or friends. LANDOLLs from Indiana, Oklahoma and Kentucky, SEDALIS, VELTONs, DANIELs and SEDALIAs from MO., GASERs from New York, and the rest from various counties in Ohio (GLASSNER, KALT, SMITH, SCHOEN, TEIER, WITTER, RUFFING, KRUPP, HAFARD, HOMAN, WALLISER, ENHART, DANIEL, RINEHART, ROTH, GEIGER) In the 1910 census, her father was listed as German born and her mother from New York. Any information on Elizabeth (GEIGER) SCHOEN or any of the friends and family above would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
