REICHARD, REICKERT posted by Grant W. Reichard on Wednesday, May 2, 2001

My great grandparents REICHARD celebrated a 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 25, 1919. I have a photo of them with their 7 sons on that occassion. My grandfather's text book(s) have Vine, Darke County Ohio written in them. I noticed a family folder listed in the Garst Library under REICHARD/REICKERT. What do you suggest for pursuing the branch, given I have only the boys names, which are - Orlie, Wesley, Mood, Will, George, Cleve and Virgil.

COOPER, HOGSTON, LITTLE, MAGOTO, PLATFOOT, PLATVOET posted by Linda Platfoot Cooper on Tuesday, May 8, 2001

I am trying to find any info on when the PLATVOET/PLATFOOT names were split. My first husband was the late Carl PLATFOOT, the son of Helen MAGOTO and Earnest PLATFOOT from near Willowdale, Ohio in Darke County. I am trying to find when the PLATVOETs came to the United States and I thought maybe if I knew when the names were split I would have a better chance of finding out when they came to the States and from what country they came?

BRANSON, DAVIS posted by Eldon E. Davis on Thursday, May 10, 2001

Parents (???) of Asa DAVIS (NJ to OH, 1818).
Looking for names of my 3G grandparents who had at least one son, my 2G G/D Asa Davis. Both of the 3G G/P were born in NJ probably 1775-1795. Where married unknown. At some point however, they lived someplace in OH; possibly near the National Road such as Darke Co. It was here in OH where Asa was born in 1818. Final residence of 3G G/P is unknown. Asa however went on to Madison Co., IN, where he lived from at least 1838 to 1864. While there he married Mary Jane BRANSON in 1846. In summary, looking for names of NJ born DAVIS husband and wife who lived in OH and had their children from probably 1810 to 1830. Also interested in names of siblings of the Asa mentioned above. Thanks, Eldon Davis
